Or maybe not, in this case. Or, maybe not by me, but perhaps one of my readers? I have been travelling for work, and came across these little beauties in the parking lot of one of my stops. They look like the most delicate Japanese lanterns with little orange lights within. But from which tree or shrub? Of course, when we are out and about we miss our wild pets (birds, squirrels, bees), and apparently they miss us. The birds do anyway, or rather they miss the food. I swear they know the sound of the car, and the call goes out as we make our way up the road. The bees, what’s left of them, tolerate our presence. Just so long as I can see activity, I am satisfied. The mean bees won’t let us down… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfE9VrC7Ui0&feature=youtu.be One blessing of a kind when you are away at work during the day time at this time of year, when you finally get to see your yard/garden during the day it reveals itself to you as a surprise gift. Where there were only green shoots last week, by weekend there are buds. And where there were only buds, there are now flowers. It’s like someone presenting you with a bouquet of flowers after a long, depressing day: it gives you an immediate lift. Another gift: little lambs. One of the places I visit is a sheep farm, and this is lambing season. And they have hundreds.
